I am, however, not for people saying to me (after I express my excitement for their forthcoming nuptials), "When is it your chance?"
Chance? Chance at what?
2chance
verbintransitive verb
1
a : to take place, come about, or turn out by chance : happen chanced to rain that day> b : to have the good or bad luck chanced to meet>
I have taken the above to mean that it is my bad luck that I am not married...seriously?
Anyway, it is at this point in any bloggers blog that they start throwing down statistics, such as "83% of all marriages end in divorce....fact." I, however, will say no such thing. To make matters worse, I am Indian...I should've been married when I was, like, ten. The older you get, the more annoying your aunties get - "I went for so-and-so's wedding last week. So nice. Such a nice fella she found man." Barf.
Hasn't anyone on the planet ever watched Bridget Jones? It's charming and endearing to be a pudgy spinster these days...

I think it's charming and endearing to be what you must, should, and want to be, when you must, should, and want to be it.
Here, here!
And also hear hear!
Crap-on-a-stick.
Hear hear! *bows*
